Dawi Alemu is Coordinator of Agricultural Economics, Research Extension and Farmers linkage at the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR). He has been associated with EIAR since 1999 as a Senior Researcher and Coordinator. His research focuses on agricultural marketing with an emphasis to agricultural inputs.
For the past three years, Dawit has also been a Senior Research Officer for the Ethiopia Strategy Support Program (ESSP) at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). As a consultant he has participated in agricultural commercialization study, Ethiopian Commodity Exchange design, and input market studies. He is also an instructor and also advisor for graduate and post graduate students the School of Graduate Studies, Haramaya University.
